"If you look deep enough you'll see this review is 6 or 7 referring to his horrible communication skills and choices. Jeff can't manage to keep client emails out of his spam folder, so he doesn't respond until you try a different method a full week later. Then takes action but doesn't notify you. THEN when you make a clear request for information, completely ignores it.

I have the documented communication for all of this.

The broader company also had a claim on my name, as a passenger in a vehicle not in my name whose insurance I wasn't on."

When we purchased homeowners insurance for our new-build home, we were given three deductible options but were never presented with additional coverage or endorsement options. After a sump pump issue caused significant water damage to our basement, we learned for the first time that sump/water backup coverage required an additional endorsement that we did not have.

Considering we were insuring a Michigan home with a basement and sump pump, this was a significant coverage gap that should have at least been discussed with us. Had we been given the option, we absolutely would have added it.

When I raised this concern, I was told they couldn’t verify what had been explained and that not every homeowner wants to review all available endorsements. We relied on our agent to help us understand meaningful coverage gaps — not discover them after a major loss.

Unfortunately, we’ve lost confidence in this agency and will be moving both our homeowners and auto insurance elsewhere."

"Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with this agency. When we purchased our homeowners policy for our new-build home, we were presented with three deductible options, and that was essentially the extent of the coverage conversation outside of being asked basic details about our home, such as the amount of wood flooring and type of siding.

We were not presented with additional coverage or endorsement options, including sump pump/water backup coverage, nor were we ever shown or told that we had opted out of those coverages. I know for a fact that conversation did not happen.

After experiencing a basement flood due to a sump pump issue, we learned the hard way that this coverage was not included. Considering we have a basement in Michigan, it is extremely frustrating that this was never even brought up as an option.

When we raised our concerns, we were essentially told that they could not verify what was or wasn’t discussed and that not every homeowner wants every endorsement. That’s exactly the issue—we were never given the opportunity to make that decision for ourselves because the available endorsements were never presented to us.

I understand that ultimately homeowners are responsible for understanding their policies, but we relied on our insurance agency to explain the coverage options available so we could make informed decisions. This experience has completely eroded our trust in the agency, and we will be moving both our homeowners and auto coverage elsewhere."
